Bio and Song ListWho has decades of experience pleasing crowds and still holds attendance records on the infamous “Bossier Strip”(Hwy 80 East)? Shreveport’s own Jerry Beach! He played played in Las Vegas in the 1970s and he was briefly with Jerry Lee Lewis AND the Ike & Tina Turner Revue in the 1960s. Jerry has performed at New Orleans Jazz Festival and Montreal Jazz Festival. Jerry Beach is the composer of one of the most famous blues songs ever written, “I’ll Play the Blues for You” made famous by Albert King. It won a Grammy and has been recorded by many other artists. Jerry is a member of the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. He has performed twice at the New Orleans Jazz&Heritage Festival and at the Montreal Jazz Festival. His Repertoire is vast and crowd pleasing. His rich soulful vocals, guitar playing and rapport with the Audience is tops in this Area. He leads the near legendary Monday Night Blues Jam at Lee's in Shreveport. Mr. Beach is currently fronting the Bluebirds “filling Buddy Flett’s shoes”. Buddy has an Open Invitation to ANY Bluebirds gigs. He is currently concentrating on his acoustic solo career. Female Singer Robin Beach Black appears frequently with the group. Robin is Jerry's daughter and can sing Etta James to Janis Joplin to 80s Pop. She's performed at New Orleans Jazzfest 4 times. Her combination of looks, stage presence, and vocal abi lities can electrify any crowd. Scroll down to bottom of song list for songs that she is featured. Zeke Seighman is on drums and vocals, Stan Hoffman keyboards & vocals and sometimes 'Dirty Redd' on trumpet with Crystal on trombone & vocals. The Bluebirds 1986- 2009, still Alive and Well. Shreveport, Louisiana’s Bluebirds have been together for 23 years and have averaged 150 bookings a year for over two decades! Festival dates in the past year or so include New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival , Arkansas Blues Heritage in Helena,AR, Natchitoches Jazz/R&B festival, T Bone Walker Blues Festival in Linden, TX , Riverfest in Little Rock and Waterfront Blues Fest(Portland,Oregon) . The Bluebirds are perennial favorites at Red River Revel and Highland Jazz&Blues Festival in Shreveport. The Bluebirds have released three CDs and gone overseas 4 times.
